Retrofit, or insert, window installation fits a new window inside your existing frame. It's faster, creates less disruption to interior trim and exterior stucco, and costs less than full-frame replacement. Retrofit is a great choice when your existing frame is square, solid, and weathertight.
Full-frame replacement removes the entire old window down to the rough opening. This is necessary when frames are damaged, rotted, or corroded, or when you want to change the window's size or style. Full-frame installation lets the installer fully inspect and flash the opening for a weathertight result.
During your free estimate, we inspect each opening and recommend the right method per window — it's not unusual for a single home to use both approaches depending on each frame's condition.
